Brooklyn Comics and Graphic Festival

So this past Saturday December 4th, I ventured out to Williamsburg Brooklyn to check out the Comics and Graphic Festival.  It was a free one day event held at Our Lady of Mt Camel Chuch.

When I first got there, I quickly realized this was not a typical comic convention.  This one was much more quaint and easier to navigate through.  Which were two good qualities as I was there to not only enjoy myself, but to look for some new talent for Secret Identities Volume 2.

The festival was held on two floors of this church.  Not only was there no admission fee to enter, but they even offered free bags and newsletters at the entrance.  The main floor was used to house all the different artists and exhibitors.

The bottom floor was where panels and eating was done.  All in all, I thought it was a nice little event to go to.  It did have a complete Brooklyn flea market feel to it.  Which is neither a bad or good thing.

I found the best work to come from these two ladies.  I’ll just post links of their work here.

They were sitting next to each other at the festival and I really hope to get them into our second volume.

Anyway, here are some pics I took of the event.  Hope this helps give you an idea of what the festival was like.

Overall I thought it was a pretty cool event.  Hope and wish the best for the guys running the show.  Looking forward to going to it in the future.
