Kangol Hong Kong…75th year anniversary party!
Everyone…and I mean EVERYone speaks english. Which was great for me!
Just took a little getting used to was all.
But after a little while…I loved it there.
I was one of four artists that did some live painting at the party. I’ve done live art before many times here in the States. But this was the first time I’ve done something like this at a party. It was sooooooo much fun.
We each had 3 hours to do our piece. My concept was to try and use my comic background and tell something of a story. I tried to show a rapper on stage jumping into the crowd for some crowd surfing. I wanted to keep it festive and fun. Hope it came though.
I met some amazing people while out in Hong Kong.
So I feel obligated to give a shout out to what they do.
I met Francis, the founder of YokeTown the app. It’s an app for people who love to eat. Where people from around the world can communicate together and share their experiences around the world of cool things and places. And of course the best food you can find around the world. Seriously, great guy and a great idea. I wish him the best of luck.
I also met Peter Tan of Velvety Wines. This was one of the wine sponsors for the Kangol event. I know nothing about wine, but I know what taste good. And their wine was exceptionally good. And Peter himself happened to be a really great guy.
A special thank you goes out to Sean Dinsmore for making this happen. And then to everyone who came by and hung out.
Yoko Honda, Vincent Chang, Alan Ma, Paulina Louie.
I love all you guys.
Here is a link to a VIMEO video made from the party.
I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
